  1. A team must register a minimum of three (3) anglers per boat.
  2. Anglers must use conventional rod and reel tackle.
  3. Live bait and or lures can be used.
  4. To win the tournament a team must do the following:
    • Hook tarpon, fight tarpon, get tarpon to boat.
    • Using gloves provided by SKAC the tarpon must be grabbed and held by lower lip.
    • While being held another team member must measure the length from nose to the "V" of the tail and the girth at its widest point using the tape measure provided by SKAC.
    • Using the camera provided by SKAC the tarpon must be photographed while being measured.
    • The tarpon must be resuscitated and released alive.
    • The team that photo documents the landing and measuring of the largest tarpon will win 1st Place.
    • The winning tarpon must be hooked, landed, measured, photographed, and released unharmed to win.
  5. Tarpon must not be pulled onto the boat deck.
  6. No gaffs allowed.
